Shuaib Firozvi, CFO, Tax Collector
Shuaib Firozvi, Chief Financial Officer, Tax Collector has been employed with Town of Kearny since May 2007, and currently serves as the Chief Financial Officer and Tax Collector. He also holds the Chief Financial Officer position for the Borough of Northvale in Bergen County. Mr. Firozvi was previously employed by the Borough of Midland Park (Bergen County) where he served as Financial Assistant, Network Administrator, and Webmaster since September 2000. He is a graduate of Fairleigh Dickinson University, and holds an undergraduate degree in Business Management and a graduate degree in Accounting.

Pat Carpenter, Town Clerk
Patricia Carpenter, Town Clerk was appointed Town Clerk in July 2010 after receiving certification as a Registered Municipal Clerk (RMC) for the State of New Jersey.  She has been employed with the Town of Kearny since September 2008.  Prior to joining the Office of the Town Clerk, Patricia was employed in the private sector and has over 20+ years of diversified technical experience as a PC/LAN Support Specialist, Client Service Analyst and currently holds a certification in Network Administration.  She received her undergraduate degree in Computer Information Systems jointly from Rutgers University and N.J.I.T.

Michael J. Martello, Town Administrator/Construction Official
Has been employed with the Town of Kearny since 1992; Mr. Martello graduated Seton Hall University in 1982 with a B.S. degree in Finance. Mr. Martello holds certification from the International Code Council has a Certified Code Official. He holds a certification from Rutgers University as a Certified Zoning Official with over 30 years’ experience in the Construction Industry.

Gerard B. Kerr, CPWM, DPW Superintendent 
Gerard B. Kerr has been employed as Superintendent of Public Works for the Town of Kearny since September of 2004. Mr. Kerr currently holds several required licenses for the Town: CPWM, C-3, and Recycling Specialist. Mr. Kerr is a graduate from Fairleigh Dickenson University and he is currently working towards his degree in Master of Public Administration. He has over 20 years’ experience in public works management.

Richard R. Ferraioli, Water Superintendent
A lifelong resident of the town of Kearny, He began his employment with the town in February 1990. He has been employed the past 15 years in the Kearny Water Department, and currently serves as the Water Superintendent and Licensed Operator of the town of Kearny water distribution system. He is licensed by NJDEP as a class 3 water distribution system operator.

Chief Steve Dyl, KFD Chief
A lifelong Kearny resident and a product of the Kearny school system, In 1986 Steve Dyl received a Bachelor of Science degree in Fire Science from Jersey City State College. Prior to joining the Fire Department, he worked for McCabe Ambulance in Bayonne and University Hospital EMS in Newark.

Kenneth Pincus, Director/Health Officer
Kenneth Pincus, Health Officer, has been employed with the Town of Kearny since May, 2014, and currently serves as the Director for the Department of Public Health. Licensed as a Health Officer by the state Department of Health, he is also recognized by the Department as a Registered Environmental Health Specialist, a lead inspector/risk assessor and a certified retail food standardized trainer. In addition, he holds a license as a commercial pesticide applicator and certification as a community noise enforcement officer with the state Department of Environmental Protection. Mr. Pincus had previously worked for the Westfield Regional Health Department as the Principal Registered Environmental Health Specialist. During his career, Mr. Pincus has also held positions with the Edison Township Department of Health and the Middle Brook Regional Health Commission in Green Brook and has been working in the health field since 1995.  He received his B.S. degree in Environmental Management from the University of Rhode Island, and a M.S. degree in Health Administration from New Jersey City University.                   

Josh Humphrey, Library Director
Josh Humphrey has been the Director of the Kearny Public Library since April of 2010. He received a B.A. degree in English from Montclair State University and an M.L.I.S. degree in Library & Information Science from Rutgers University. He has had nearly ten years of experience as a professional public librarian. He is a lifelong resident of Kearny.
