| Paving Program:
There is an ongoing program to rehabilitate and repave the streets in Kearny. The usual method is to remove the top layer of asphalt by “milling” and then applying a new layer of asphalt. In some cases, new curbs are installed as part of the overall project. Streets are chosen to be re-paved based on a number of factors including the overall condition of the road surface, traffic volume and availability of funding. |

| The Kearny DPW fills potholes throughout the year, weather permitting. Residents are encouraged to report any potholes to the DPW. |

| Signs |
|
|
|
The Kearny DPW maintains and installs street name signs and alternate side street sweeping signs. Under the direction of the Kearny Police Department, the DPW also installs traffic control signs.
Residents are encouraged to report any missing, damaged or faded signs to the DPW |
