KEARNY, NEW JERSEY: Applebee’s, one of Kearny’s newest restaurants, is officially the sponsor of one of the town’s recreational area identification sign at the Veteran Memorial Park.
“We are very pleased that Applebee’s has joined the other local businesses and organizations who recognize the impact our Park Sign Project has upon the image of our community,” said Mayor Alberto G. Santos . “This Park Project is an extension of our efforts to revitalize our streetscapes and our parks.”
Kearny’s Park Sign Project seeks to replace many of the town’s worn and tattered recreational area identification signs. The new signs represent the community’s image in a positive manner and are designed in official town colors, with the Town seal and identify the sponsors of the sign.
Current sponsors of signs in Kearny are Wilfred Armitage and Wiggins Funeral Home, Veteran’s Memorial Field, Belgrove Drive; United Water of New Jersey, Albert Stewart Jr. Ecology Park; Kearny Federal Savings, Harvey Field Sports Complex; and United Water of New Jersey, Kearny Rotary Centennial Orchard.
Sponsors are being sought for the following areas within Riverbank Park: Christopher Columbus Park, Daniel T. Sansone Park, Joseph M. Healey Park, Wallace Glen Park, Henry J. Hill Park, Irish Heritage Park and Chantilly Park.
For more information on sign sponsorship please call Joseph D’Arco, Town Administrator, (201) 955-7400, extension 1003.
